This Irish beauty with her flaming red hair in serpentine coils sparked an inferno of colour on the canvas in this fiery portrait. With the faraway stare of those rich chocolate eyes, she is evocative of the famous Róisín Dubh, or 'Dark Rosaleen', immortalised in the 16th century political song and a metaphor for Ireland itself.
